Hi, I’m Leo

I co-founded Buffer, a $20m fully remote and transparent tech business.

Despite the success, I didn’t know what I wanted and how to live a life of meaning and connection. Burnt out, I spent 2 years in a buddhist monastery, doing deep inner training and pausing to reconnect to myself. Although I’m not done, my heart has been set since then on living a life of service by coaching leaders that want to take the scary and exhilarating next steps, whatever that means, to live the life they truly want.

I exclusively coach leaders that want it all and don’t want to compromise: More growth and impact for their worlds, and more love and kindness in their lives.

How I coach

My offer is to reconnect you with the dream and choice you have for your life, despite (not because of) your success. Through my experience as an entrepreneur, living in buddhist monasteries for close to 2 years and undergoing a body-based psychotherapy training I have developed a unique container for you to explore that.

There were more reactions to this picture than anything I’d ever posted before. They went into […]

The surprising science of alpha males & females: The most empathetic member of the group

As a teenager, I always thought that the term “alpha male” sounded cool and powerful and worthy of pursuit. What it meant to me from how mainstream culture communicated it to me was to be dominating, strong, talking over people, and generally being on top. When I reflected on this more over time, it quickly […]

The more successful CEOs and founders I work with, the less I envy them

And the more I’ve started to admire and respect them instead.  A line by a founder caught me deeply off guard recently. He said: “Leo, I’m set for life, but I don’t feel that I can talk to anyone that understands the difficulty I’m going through.”  I’ve coached some of the most successful people that […]
